On June 21st, 2013 the Graña y Montero Group held the ceremony of the Graña y Montero Peruvian Engineering Research Award - 4th Ed., which seeks to promote applied research and knowledge generation in the engineering field.
This edition convened 40 participants coming from 12 Peruvian cities and of 19 engineering specializations. Those participants have submitted their innovative proposals that contribute to our country's development.
During the ceremony the best research papers were awarded in two categories. First, in the Professional Research category, the winner was Mr. Ramón Oviedo Bellott, who received 100,000 nuevos soles for the project "Mejoramiento de subrasantes de baja capacidad portante por medio de la aplicación de correlación deflectométrica". Later, in the University Thesis category, the team of Mr. Lismer Cáceres Najarro and Mr. Diego Olmedo Castillo were awarded for their research project "Desarrollo de software de radio módem para la transmisión de datos sobre canales analógicos en la banda de voz aplicado a organismos gubernamentales".
The award ceremony was chaired by the architect Jose Graña Miró Quesada, President of the Graña y Montero Group, Mr. Carlos Herrera Desch, National Dean of College of Engineers of Peru and by Carlos Morelli Zavala, President of the Academy Peruvian Engineering.
